We were all delighted to hear the announcement that the renowned Micro Surgeon Professor Simon Kay has been awarded a well-deserved OBE in the the new year’s Honours for his contribution to complex reconstructive surgery and Hand Surgery in the UK.

A celebration of 50 wonderful years, its been quite a journey.

World renowned Canadian Micro Surgeon announced as the guest speaker for the Mercian/S&T Micro Surgery lecture at the forthcoming BAPRAS Meeting in November in London.

The Mercian Travelling Fellowship Award was awarded this year to Muhammad Umar Javid who is a year 4 Plastic Surgery trainee registrar working in the Plastic Surgery Unit at Morriston Hospital Swansea.

The highly-respected Professor Milomir Ninkovic has been announced as the guest speaker as the S&T Mercian lecturer for the Winter BAPRAS meeting in London in November later this year.
