Earlier this year Papua New Guinea achieved a notable milestone when they performed their first ever kidney transplant using sets of specialist surgical instruments supplied by Mercian Surgical.Mercian collaborated with Dr. Damien Hasola, who championed the establishment of kidney transplant services in PNG, and trusted Mercian to provide the high-quality specialist Surgical Instruments required for this complex Surgery.

Mercian Instruments were shipped to the southern hemisphere county in time for the first proceed in May, which was a complete success.

Dr. Hasola, described the moment as the fulfilment of a dream and was kind enough to provide this feedback to us.
