Mercian, in collaboration with the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) and Stoke Mandeville Hospital, are supporting the World Tetrahand Congress taking place between 21st to 23rd September 2026 in Aylesbury.

Tetrahand surgery focuses on restoring hand and arm function for people living with spinal cord injury and other neurological conditions. The goal is to improve independence in everyday activities.

The two main techniques used to restore function are:

  • Nerve transfer surgery
  • Tendon transfer surgery

This prestigious meeting brings together leading clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals in the field of Tetrahand management, providing a unique platform for high-level knowledge exchange and innovation.
