Earlier this year Papua New Guinea achieved a notable milestone when they performed their first ever kidney transplant using sets of specialist surgical instruments supplied by Mercian Surgical.

Mercian are again sponsoring the annual #BAPRAS Congress 2025 hosted in the exciting city of Belfast, from 3rd to 5th December at the modern ICC located on the waterfront in central Belfast.

Mercian Lecture – The role of microsurgery in trauma.

Mercian will once again be exhibiting at Arab Health between the 27^th to 30^th of January at the World Trade Centre in Dubai in Hall 2 stand F13 as apart of the ABHI pavilion.

Mercian are excited to announce we have joined the UK trade body representing the healthcare industries; the Association of British Healthcare Industries - ABHI to strengthen our engagement with the UK Government and the NHS on strategic matters relating to medical devices.

As part of our transition to the new EU MDR Regulations 2017/745 replacing our MDD Directive Mercian are delighted to announce formal approval by our Notified Body SGS Belgium to extend our current MDD certificates for our Class II devices until 31^st of December 2028 to allow time for us to transition to the MDR Regulations.

Mercian are excited to be exhibiting at Arab Health again as part of the Association of British Health Tech Industries (ABHI) UK Pavilion at Arab Health 2024 which is taking place from 29th January to 1st February in Dubai.
